DESCRIPTION

We are looking for graduates to train as environmental technicians specialising in occupational hygiene (water, noise, air quality, vibration and COSHH).

This is a great opportunity to develop a long term career in a stable science related industry. The successful graduate will be provided training and experience through a staged development programme leading to formal WMS/BOHS qualifications and role as a mobile technician working from our South East Head Office (BR8 7PQ).

Occupational hygiene technicians travel to client sites to test and monitor a number of risks which can cause harm if uncontrolled including: water, air, noise, vibration and COSHH.

Specific work allocation will be based on candidate skills and business needs at the time.

The role is site based focusing on the London and the home counties but requiring occasional travel throughout the UK as required. Flexibility is also needed to accommodate some periods of working weekends and out of hours.

The candidate will be rewarded with a salary based on a staged development programme; £20,000 +OT as a new starter, then £22,000 after the successful completion of the first year. A company vehicle, smartphone and pension will also be provided. (further progression is available depending on the candidate and business need)

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS check (completed during induction stage)
  • Ability to analyse technical data and write technical reports
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Friendly and professional conduct at all times
  • Ability to develop career through technical exams and audits
  • GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths, English and Science
  • Relevant science based degree
