I’ve worked at Riverside for almost five years. I was first attracted to the role by the idea of working somewhere different every day as I knew I’d never get bored.
I was also intrigued as to what asbestos is as no one regularly talks about it on a day-to-day basis.
I’ve stayed at Riverside because of the great people I work with and the fact there is endless progression within my role – I’m always shown the opportunity to progress and learn even more.
My favourite aspect of this job is the fact I have been able to progress from a Trainee Surveyor through to a Project Manager and have learnt a lot of skills throughout the process.
I’d recommend Riverside to other people as the careers here provide a great opportunity to learn a whole range of unique skills and gain knowledge that isn’t necessarily common. There is also a great team of people to work with and that makes the job more enjoyable.
I’ve been with Riverside since 2016. I was drawn to Riverside because of my passion for problem-solving and the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects.
I have invested significant time and effort into this company, and I truly believe in its mission and values
I can’t see myself working anywhere else because of the strong connection I feel with Riverside.
My favourite thing about working at Riverside is the clients we serve. I’ve had the opportunity to visit some beautiful locations and work with amazing people, which has been incredibly rewarding.
I would absolutely recommend Riverside to others. In fact, two of my close friends are now employed here and they are very satisfied with their roles.
Riverside offers a supportive and dynamic work environment. The team here have consistently supported me, ensuring that I have the resources and backing needed to excel in my role. Their commitment to their employees is evident in the way they prioritise our professional growth and success.
I joined Riverside in October 2012 as a temp in admin, then became a permanent member of staff in February 2013 and I never looked back. I came from a retail background, so it was a learning curve for me, but I really enjoyed the work and the friendly atmosphere.
Riverside have been really open and accommodating to my needs as I have health issues, they also offer a lot of opportunities for growth and training to improve your skills.
My favourite part of my career has been my progression – I started as in admin as a Project Co-ordinator, then as a Quality Checker before returning to Project Co-ordinator, but when they noticed I was getting dissatisfied with my role they offered me the opportunity to train as a Lab Technician. It’s not a career move I thought would be available to me, but I’m very glad it was offered, and I am enjoying it very much.
Riverside is a great place to learn new skills and improve on old ones. There is also a great sense of camaraderie, everyone is friendly and accepting. About a year after I started working here, I had to have major surgery that required time off for recovery and then shortened hours for a time. Management were very understanding and made sure I was comfortable on my return.
I’ve worked at Riverside for just under three years. I wanted to find local employment and I grew up locally to the current head office.
I was also attracted to the important work that is carried out here with in the environmental sector. The location really suits my busy family life and I really enjoy working with our accounts team.
My role offers a lot of variety – no two days at Riverside are the same which makes it a really interesting place to work. Everyone works really well together, and I’d recommend Riverside to anyone.
